Limited Lifetime Warranty –Effective December 24, 2013

 

The Right Stuff Detailing warrants products (purchased on or after the above “Effective Date of December 24, 2013”) that its parts are free of defects in material and workmanship in accordance with the following:

 

The warranty applies only to the original purchaser of parts for the lifetime of the parts in the car in which they are first installed.  The warranty will not transfer if the parts, or the car in which the parts are installed, or both, are sold or transferred.  Proof of the date of your purchase is required.

 

The warranty does not cover parts which have been damaged due to wear and tear, misuse, neglect, abuse, improper installation or accident such as: (but not limited to)

 

-normal deterioration from wear or exposure;

 

-failure to follow the instructions that are provided by The Right Stuff Detailing;

 

-installing the part on a vehicle other than the one it is designed for;

 

-improper installation of the part by customer or by any installer;[0]

 

-driver abuse of the vehicle after part installation;

 

-improper or unauthorized modification, alteration, or repair of the part; or

 

-accident, fire, flood, "acts of God," or other contingencies beyond the control of The Right Stuff Detailing Company.

 

Consequential and incidental damages, including but not limited to labor costs incurred in diagnosis of defects, removal or reinstallation of a product, are not recoverable under this warranty.

 

No Hassle Material and Workmanship Warranty

 

During the first year from the date of purchase, we will:

 

Replace any part determined to be defective and provide shipping of the part from you, and the return of the part from us, using the same method of shipping specified in your original order.

 

How is a part determined to be defective?

 

Our technical staff will provide you instructions to assess the part for defects.  If you are not qualified to assess the part for defects, you will need to have the assessment performed by a qualified technician at your expense.  If our later testing determines that the part is not defective, you will be provided the option of returning the uninstalled replacement part in exchange for the original part at your expense, or having your credit card charged for the retail cost of the replacement part.

 

When will I receive a replacement part?

 

Upon providing your credit card number to our technical staff, a replacement part will be shipped as soon as is commercially reasonable without waiting for the receipt of the defective part.  If you do not provide a credit card number, we will ship the replacement part on receipt of the original part from you if it is determined by us to be defective.

 

How long do I have to return the defective part?

 

If we do not receive the defective part 30 days from the delivery of the replacement part to you, we will assume you are keeping the part and charge your credit card for the retail price of the part.

 

After the first year, we will:

 

Replace or repair at our option any part found to be defective but we will not pay for shipping the part to us.

 

How is a part determined to be defective after the first year?

 

We will inspect the part and make the determination as to whether a part is defective.

 

What happens if a part is determined to be defective after the first year?

The part will either be repaired and returned, or a new part will be shipped, within 10 days, with shipping to you paid for by The Right Stuff Detailing.

 

What happens if a part is found to be not defective after the first year?

 

If you wish to have the part returned to you after inspection, you will need to provide us with your credit card and the cost of shipping the part to you will be charged to the card.  

 

Will I get an identical replacement part?

 

The Right Stuff engages in continuous improvement of its products.  This may result in minor differences in the appearance, performance, or the design of replacement parts, especially if the replacement is made years after the initial purchase, but the replacement part will provide the same function as the original part.

 

Warranty for Cosmetic Damage to Stainless Steel Pre-bent Tubing Products

 

During the lifetime of stainless steel pre-bent tubing products, we will replace such products with cosmetic damage that arises from defects in material or workmanship.  No other products are warranted for cosmetic damage after installation.  Any other products with cosmetic damage when received from The Right Stuff Detailing  must be returned prior to installation and in unused condition within 30 days after you receive them pursuant to The Right Stuff Detailing’s Return Policy.

 

How is a part determined to have cosmetic damage?

 

You may either submit a photograph by email to info@getdiscbrakes.com or send in the part for inspection at your expense.  In the event we confirm cosmetic damage arising from material or workmanship, we will repair or replace the part and pay for shipping both ways for parts verified by photograph, and pay for return shipping for parts sent in for inspection.

 

How do I show proof of the date of my purchase?

 

By email or fax:  Send a copy of your original invoice.  If you purchased from one of our dealers, send a copy of the dealer’s original invoice.  We will contact the dealer to confirm the product was supplied by The Right Stuff Detailing.

 

By mail or common carrier: Include a copy of your original invoice with the part(s) you are returning.  If you purchased from one of our dealers, send a copy of the dealer’s original invoice.  We will contact the dealer to confirm the product was supplied by The Right Stuff Detailing.

 

By Phone:  Call with your original invoice number, or shipping address including name. If you purchased from one of our dealers, provide the shipping address used by that dealer.  We will search our system to verify your purchase.  Providing a copy of your original invoice or invoice number allows us to provide you faster service.  We do not guarantee the completeness of our records, or our ability to find your invoice.  If you purchased from one of our dealers, you may be required to contact that dealer to obtain proof of purchase.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

 

THE RIGHT STUFF DETAILING DOES NOT ASSUME ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.  ALSO TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY SETS OUT YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCTS COVERED BY IT. 

 

Your rights under state law: this warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
