Wear in suspension components is probably the biggest reason old cars drive like old cars.  Shock absorption and steering systems require joints with precise movements.  As parts wear, steering becomes sloppy and shock absorption becomes less effective.  A suspension rebuild kit can bring the driving characteristics of a classic back from the dead.

Please not that numerous aftermarket manufacturers change the location of grease fittings.  Our high value kits, as well as other in their price range on the market, have the grease fitting at the bottom of the socket joint on tie rod ends.  This change required removal of the fitting after greasing for clearance.  This affects Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac “A” body cars from ’64 – ‘72 tie rod ends with side mounted grease fittings are available as a $30 - $50 upgrade.
