Do you need a new valve?

This answer is a generalization and valves can vary greatly car to car. Please ask a brake expert on your specific vehicle if you have questions about which valve is right for you. Having said that, a two wheel disc brake combination valve generally has a function built in to allow the rear drum brakes to engage before the front discs to help provide more level stopping. When you change from 2 to 4 wheel disc brakes, you no longer need this function because all 4 calipers take the same amount of time to engage. This function is not necessary, but will not significantly affect your new 4 wheel disc brake system. So a 4 wheel disc valve is required for the absolute optimum braking performance, but a two wheel disc valve can be used as well, just expect your front brakes to be delayed slightly.

Do you need a new master cylinder?

Entire brake systems should be taken into consideration when choosing a master cylinder. In general, we reccommend a 1" bore master cylinder in four wheel disc brake applications. This can vary depending on other factors such as whether the vehicle is power or manual.

Rear axle brake line modifications?

The rear axle lines on your vehicle ran directly into your wheel cylinders when the car was drum brakes. When you convert to rear disc, you will now need to run these line into the flex hoses that come off of the rear calipers. Because of this, you will need to either buy a pre-shortened set of rear axle lines from us or shorten your existing rear axle lines
